History

Archer Medical was formed in 2004 by Ron Broome and his two partners in response to a request from a single hospital in Western New York.  Since that time, intraoperative monitoring (IOM) has advanced significantly and has become a sophisticated healthcare practice in which diverse and complex strategies have evolved to protect an ever expanding range of neural structures as well as more obscure structures.

IOM has become the standard of care in instrumented spine spinal tumor and skull based surgeries alike.  There is a division of Archer Medical which currently provides IOM services at more than 13 hospitals and health networks in New York State and is rapidly approaching its 10,000th surgery.  Our ever expanding staff of Neurologists, Physiatrists, Neurophysiologists CNIM and CNIM eligible Technologists are able to meet the monitoring requirements of any case.

Our vast experience and our commitment to excellence in the field allows us to solve difficult surgical monitoring challenges as we continue to closely work with surgeons to deliver only the best in surgical monitoring.
